Meet the Team
Tom LaPorta
Founder
Tom LaPorta established LaPorta Roofing in 1983 in Trumbull, Connecticut, building the company from the ground up as an owner-installer. With hands-on experience in hundreds of re-roofs and repairs, Tom expanded the business to tackle larger projects, including renovations of hospitals, subway stations, and schools. In 2016, Tom relocated LaPorta Roofing to Florida, where he continues to lead the company in providing exceptional roofing services.
Mark LaPorta
Partner
Tom’s son Mark grew up immersed in the roofing industry, gaining experience in all aspects of the business. After serving in the Army as an infantryman with deployments to Iraq and Korea, Mark rejoined LaPorta Roofing. He now spearheads the company’s modernization efforts, oversees marketing initiatives, and directs growth initiatives to propel the business forward.
Administrator
Tom’s niece Amanda joined the business in 2020. As an administrator, she manages the company’s day-to-day financial and administrative operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping, customer service, and other administrative functions.
Jim Roussos
Production Manager
Jim Roussos joined LaPorta Roofing in 2019, bringing valuable expertise to the team. As Production Manager, Jim oversees all on-site production matters, ensuring quality control, setting site standards, resolving field-related issues, and maintaining excellent customer relations.
Customer Education Specialist
Scott Johnson serves as our Customer Education Specialist. His role is to ensure that every client who contacts LaPorta Roofing gains a comprehensive understanding of their roofing problems and available solutions. Scott’s dedication to informing customers empowers them to make the best decisions for their roofing needs, regardless of whether they choose our services.
Kirstin Heinrich
Operations Manager
Kirstin Heinrich became part of the LaPorta Roofing team in 2021. As Operations Manager, she handles crucial behind-the-scenes tasks, including permitting, procurement, scheduling, and customer communications, ensuring smooth operations and project execution.
